Following recent successes in developing new work streams and increased workflows, we are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Surveyor to join our close knit and client driven team.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join a growing department within our business that has impressive expansion plans over the next few years. We know that clean energy generation offers our clients significant revenue and cost-saving opportunities, enhances their environmental credentials, and makes a difference in their communities, societies, and the world.

We are looking for an individual to join the team and are flexible in discussing different backgrounds and experience levels. Ideally the applicants will already have some experience or exposure to advising on energy, however we are open to speaking with individuals just starting out on their career or individuals from a different surveying discipline who would like to have a change of direction and have an interest in the field.

This role is a permanent full-time position on a 37.5-hour contract (Monday – Friday). We operate a hybrid working policy and are open to discussions on flexible working.

Duties will include:

Working closely with our clients on the following:

  • Identifying the most suitable renewable energy generating systems
  • Undertaking feasibility audits as well as cost and benefit analyses
  • Advising clients on technology procurement
  • Revenue and cost-saving opportunities that clean energy generation has to offer
  • Reviewing commercial proposals (whether from a developer or power company) to evaluate the market reasonableness and negotiating deal terms for Options to Lease
  • Advising and supporting on green energy strategies

Other wider duties will include:

  • Assisting the wider team as needed (job tendering, supporting reports for bids, networking, etc.)
  • Providing first class client service
  • Assisting our wider departments with multi-disciplined pieces of work

The successful candidate will have…

  • General experience of energy and sustainability within the built environment and current energy/sustainability policy
  • Experience in traditional renewable energy technologies such as wind turbines, solar PV and anaerobic digestion
  • Experience in renewable energy development or feasibility.
  • Experience in rural and or commercial property/ property management would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation (desirable)
  • Experience of financial modelling/ energy efficiency/ renewables investment (desirable)
  • Project management experience (desirable)
