Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Various sites in the UK, including East Lothian and Edinburgh.
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, with flexibility for travel.
Salary: £36,000 – £46,000 + OT per annum, dependent on experience.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Travel frequently across the UK, Ireland, and potentially internationally to provide high levels of customer support.
- Install and commission electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, providing technical guidance, training, and support to clients.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols on-site and during travel, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, service reports, and records.
Requirements:
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering, with experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation, including familiarity with PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Adaptable, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the UK, Ireland, and potentially internationally.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with hydrogen energy solutions (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to read P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagrams).
- Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and power management systems.
- Experience with project management.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to electrical equipment.
