We seek an ambitious Associate/Partner level Building Surveyor to join our growing Newcastle team. This role will spearhead a Project and Building Consultancy offering, catering to Northumbria, Yorkshire, and Cumbria.

While based in Newcastle, we welcome applications from Leeds-based surveyors with strong Newcastle market connections, willing to spend a few days per week in our Newcastle office.

The primary focus will be core building surveying duties across commercial and residential properties. We need someone adept at juggling multiple small and large projects concurrently, delivering a full range of professional services to diverse client accounts.

This opportunity allows an ambitious surveyor to shape the team’s future from an early stage, with unlimited growth potential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to team effectiveness, share knowledge, and mentor others
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within and beyond your discipline
  • Collaborate with existing teams to develop client relationships and offer services across Northumbria, Yorkshire, and Cumbria
  • Secure new business, generate revenue, and manage a broad range of assignments
  • Enhance the company’s reputation through successful project delivery
  • Build cross-functional networks and contribute to profitability initiatives
  • Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures
  • Adhere to and manage processes per internal and accredited requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree-educated with MRICS qualification and relevant post-qualification experience
  • Valid driving license and personal transportation
  • Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary firm
  • Exceptional business development skills and key client contacts
  • Proven track record in building consultancy and exceptional delivery
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
  • Capacity to explain technical and complex subjects clearly to clients
  • Strong teamwork and client-focused approach
  • Robust technical competence across the full range of building consultancy service lines
