Manage a team of design engineers to provide electrical design services (LV-132kV) for Major Projects and Customer Networks. Ensure smooth design approval and construction processes, meeting relevant standards. Communicate with customers, DNO, TNO, suppliers, and the construction team. Support audits, business development, tendering, and construction efforts as needed

Main Duties

Manage a team of design engineers and technical specialists, ensuring capacity aligns with project needs. Report on progress, costs, and risks to Major Projects and Customer Networks. Oversee design scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Monitor work outside scope and manage chargeable variations. Produce monthly progress reports, assist with tenders, and support business development. Handle team training, competence, and development. Work with clients and network operators to define design responsibilities. Lead design projects, guide customers through the process, and obtain technical quotes. Attend meetings, promote continuous improvement within the team.

What we are looking for

• Minimum Level 4 (HNC) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience; degree preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical design standards, policies, and procedures for equipment installation and commissioning from LV to 132kV.
• Management experience, with the ability to lead a team of at least 3 people.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proactive, self-starter, enthusiastic, and flexible with a knack for motivating staff.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
